After 34 weeks, I finally got around to making my first project for my soon to arrive little dude. Up until now, I have been so busy designing other projects, but it struck me the other day that he is coming VERY soon, and I have a lot of things I want to make for him. I decided to get started with a quick and easy hat. This way I could have at least one project finished and complete before I get too overwhelmed.
When I first started crocheting, I had no idea how endless the possibilities were. I only knew blankets, hats and scarves. After nearly 5 years of crocheting, I am finally starting to explore new crochet avenues and loving it!

I found the best way to obtain these sizes was to jump up to a 4.0mm hook. The nice thing about using this size hook is it works up so much faster. The 3.5mm hook makes a nice tight stitch for the smaller sizes, but it is a bit slow going. Read more
